Dr. Terry Goodale is proud to serve the Morton community he calls home. With a background that spans multiple clinical settings and a commitment to personalized care, he focuses on helping patients understand their vision and feel confident in their eye health.
His approach is centered on clear communication, thorough evaluations, and care that is tailored to each patient’s needs—so every visit feels both comfortable and purposeful.
Education and Clinical Experience
Dr. Goodale was born and raised in Morton, Illinois, where he attended local schools before pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry.
During his training, he completed clinical rotations at several respected facilities, including David Grant Medical Center in California and New Eyes in Las Vegas, gaining experience in a wide range of eye care settings.
He began his career practicing in Canton, Illinois, and later expanded his experience in Peoria, Washington, and Pekin before returning to Morton in 2024 to join the team at Vintage Optical.
Patient-Focused Care
Dr. Goodale provides full-scope optometry care, including comprehensive eye exams and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. He takes a thoughtful, patient-first approach, focusing on understanding each individual’s concerns and guiding them with clear, practical solutions.
His goal is to make eye care approachable and easy to understand, so patients always feel informed and supported in their care.
Proud to Serve Morton
Returning to Morton to care for the community where he grew up is especially meaningful to Dr. Goodale. He values the opportunity to build relationships with patients and provide care that feels both personal and connected to the community.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Goodale enjoys staying active and spending time with his family. He enjoys golfing, biking, and camping, and values time with his wife and their four children.
He is also an active member of Summit Point Church and is proud to be part of the Morton community both professionally and personally.
